Si vous vous êtes toujours demandé comment créer de jolis pompons en laine, je vous donne ici les étapes pas à pas ! Et pour l’occasion j’ai créé un nouvel onglet à mon menu: DIY! J’essayerais de poster quelques ateliers pratiques pour de la déco de table ou de maison, mais en ce moment ce sera plus sur Noël!! Bon pour revenir à nos pompons, pas besoin d’acheter plein de matériel, il vous faudra juste de la laine, une fourchette et une paire de ciseaux ! Après un peu d’entrainement vous ferez de très jolis pompons. Vous pourrez ensuite les disposer sur votre sapin ou toute autre plante verte, sur un centre de table, accrochés à votre cheminée… Allez c’est parti !
Matériel :
- Une ou plusieurs pelotes de laine de la couleur de votre choix
- Une fourchette
- Une paire de ciseaux
Les étapes :
- Découpez un fil de laine de 50cm minimum (c’est grâce à ce fil que vous pourrez ensuite accrocher vos pompons). Pliez-le en deux et insérez-le entre les dents centrales de la fourchette, comme sur la photo.
- Prenez votre pelote de laine et enroulez la tout autour de la fourchette, en faisant attention à ne pas trop étaler la laine sur la fourchette (en gros, ne prenez pas toute la longueur de la fourchette).
- Une fois que vous aurez enroulé le fil de laine autour de la fourchette (plus vous l’enroulez, plus le pompon sera fourni), coupez à l’aide des ciseaux la laine.
- Venez coincer ce fil dans un fil de laine enroulé autour de la fourchette (comme indiqué sur la photo) et laissez-le sur le côté.
- Rapprochez vos 2 fils de laine qui se trouvent de part et d’autre de votre fourchette (c’est le fil de l’étape 1) et venez faire un nœud très serré (très important pour la réussite du pompon) au milieu de la fourchette.
- Refaites un nœud pour bien serrer le tout.
- Retirez progressivement votre pompon de la fourchette, puis refaites 2 nœuds avec votre fil (toujours le même fil de l’étape 1) de l’autre côté du pompon pour que l’ensemble soit bien ficelé (étape cruciale pour la réussite du pompon !).
- Insérez vos ciseaux dans les 2 extrémités du pompon (là où se trouve l’ouverture) et découpez.
- Réarrangez votre pompon, et coupez les fils qui dépassent pour lui donner une forme ronde. Et voilà votre pompon est prêt !!
Les astuces pour bien réussir vos pompons:
- Ne pas trop étaler la laine sur la fourchette (comme expliqué à l’étape 2)
- Bien serrer le fil autour de la laine avant de découper votre pompon (comme expliqué à l’étape 7).

If you’ve always wondered how to create nice Christmas pompoms in wool, well I give you here the steps by steps to succeed!!! No need to buy any material, you will just need the wool, a fork and a pair of scissors! After a little training you will be able to make really nice pompoms. You can then arrange them onto your Christmas tree or any other green plant, on the center of your table, clinging to your fireplace… Let’s create now !
Material :
- One or more balls of wool of the color of your choice
- A fork
- A pair of scissors
Steps :
- Cut a thread of wool of 50cm minimum (it is thanks to this wire that you can then attach your pompoms). Fold it in two and insert it between the central teeth of the fork, as per the photo.
- Take your ball of wool and start to wrap it around the fork, being careful not to too spread the wool to high on the fork (I mean not to take the entire length of the fork).
- Once you have wrapped the wool yarn around the fork (the more you wind, the bigger the pompom will be), cut with the scissors the wool.
- Just pinch the wire in a thread of wool wrapped around the fork (as shown on the picture) and leave it on the side.
- Move your 2 yarn of wool which are located on the sides of your fork (it is the wire from the step 1) and do a very tight knot (very important the knot is tight otherwise it won’t work) in the middle of the fork.
- Do another tight knot on the top of the previous one.
- Gradually remove your pompon from the fork, then repeat 2 knots with your wire (always the same wire from step 1) on the other side of the pompom so that the whole is well wrapped (this step is crucial for the success of the pompom!).
- Insert your scissors in the 2 ends of the pompon (where is located the opening) and cut.
- Rearrange your pompom, and cut the wires that are higher, in order to give it a round form. And that is it : your pompom is ready!!
Tips to make some nice pompoms:
- Don’t spread too much the wool on the fork (as explained in step 2)
- Important to strongly tighten the wire around the wool before cutting your pompom (as explained in step 7).
